The Canadian Combine
Player Development ahead of Team Development
PLAYER
DEVELOPMENT

Soccer in the United States and Canada is hugely successful at the Grassroots level, at both the competitive and recreational levels,
but has yet to achieve on-going success at the national, international or professional levels. The sport lacks the integration of
programming and services required to turn it into what would be considered a major North American sport as defined in media or
corporate circles.

Current Clubs, Leagues and Academies, together provide a myriad of training and development programming for 10-16 year olds,
supplemented by regional and provincial team programming. The quality of development programs continues to improve, and will
no doubt grow and mature, as Clubs catch their collective breath after a decade of managing massive growth in registrations.

Unfortunately, there are few if any links between youth, adult and professional.

As 10 year-olds, hundreds of thousands of  children have a dream – by their teenage years, if still soccer players, most can no longer
visualize a future in the game.

The Combine is focused on providing programming and services to change that situation. It is based on building on soccer’s unique
strength in this country – its youth clubs.

OPPORTUNITY

By providing planning, infrastructure and services based on year-round level programming for dedicated teenagers and young adults
between th e ages of 16-23, the Combine can fill a significant gap in the development of soccer players.  This gap must be filled -
domestic professional leagues and National Teams are dependant on this being turned into reality.

MISSION

Provide the programming, infrastructure and support through a network of top youth CLUBS to develop top male and female 16-
23 year-old soccer players into Soccer Professionals,
upon graduation from college or university.
A unique Elite Development Program for players from 16 to 23 years old.
Dedicated to developing our most talented young players!
